A Bit About Us

The monthly meetings vary between social "sew-ins" called "Stitch & Share" when we work on various projects and enjoy a "Show & Tell", and evenings when we have professional speakers to educate and entertain us.

In August we have a "picnic and sew in" at a member's garden, while in December there is our

Christmas party following the AGM.

Members receive an attractive badge, a booklet, an annual programme and a monthly newsletter.

Some members belong to off-shoots of PQs, forming small groups which meet in someone's home for social sewing. These have their own names such as The Mayflowers, The Macklin Circle and The Oddballs, other members also help the local community by volunteering their skills to the Banstead Centre, where they assist anyone wishing to learn patchwork and quilting. Others work in support of favoured charities such as The Royal Marsden Hospital, St Raphael's, and Linus Quilts, or respond to special appeals.

Membership Subscription: £40 per annum for members. Non members £5.00 entry. Visitors may attend workshops and sewing days if there is room, but at an increased price.
