Our chosen charity for 2025 was Maggie’s Cancer Centre at the local Royal Marsden Hospital in tribute to the memory of long-standing member Pat Sayers who sadly died after a valiant battle with cancer in 2024. Pat and her friends found their local Maggie's centre to always be an oasis of peace.

Fundraising for our chosen charity took place at some of our meetings throughout the year and all funds raised at our 2025 exhibition went go to our chosen charity.

Altogether we raised in total £6,400 for Maggie’s Cancer Centre - an incredible achievement by our members for a very worthy cause.

These funds will be used by Maggie's Centre in The Royal Marsden Sutton to provide the right support for individuals and their families so that, "nobody would lose the joy living in the fear of dying when diagnosed with cancer".
The organisation founder Maggie Keswick Jencks believed in this idea, that with the right support, in the right environment would make a significant positive difference on someone dealing with cancer, that’s why she talked about the need for “thoughtful lighting, a view out to trees, birds and sky” and the opportunity “to relax and talk away from home cares”, which is everything the Royal Marsden Maggie's Centre embodies.
