September - Talk by Karen Crookes “My Crafting Journey”

Karen was a delightful and engaging speaker. Seven years ago, she established her business, Sunflowerstitches, and as she told us her story, we felt her pain, joy and understood the hard work involved in getting a crafting business up and running. Karen designs her own quilts, has published a book, sells a broad range of quilting fabrics and haberdashery and also runs creative workshops in her studio in Tongham, nr Farnham, Surrey GU10 1BH. Given the interest and support from our members at the meeting, I am sure we will be organising a PQ trip to visit her shop in Tongham.
