Talk given by Jackie Dimmock, “The good, the bad, and the downright funny” - Feb 2025

Jackie Dimmock is a retired police officer who worked for the Hampshire Constabulary for almost 30 years (1982-2012).

We first met Jackie Dimmock at our meeting in November 2023, and were so entertained with her humorous descriptions of life as a police officer, all beautifully illustrated by her excellent mini quilts, that we had many requests to invite her back to tell us more.

We had a fantastic turn out to hear our speaker. Jackie Dimmock, and she did not disappoint us with the ‘part 2’ of her story. One thing we especially realised was that Jackie's very good sense of humour proved to be a powerful and positive way of responding to the many tough challenges faced by Police Officers.
